The Young Journey Foundation (TYJF) creative placemaking initiatives transform youth into excellent leaders who excel at school, home and in their community. The target population is traditional underserved youth with the goal of impacting social change through youth-led projects.
The mission of TYJF is to inspire young people worldwide to be lifelong learners eager to contribute to society through project based workshops. The vision is that all young people globally will be confident innovative problem solvers prepared for the workforce.
Project-based curriculums are educational and inclusive allowing youth to
address important topics of interest including social change,
environmental issues and academia. Types of youth-led media productions
include public service announcements, televisions shows and short films.
The program provides community service learning and transferrable skills

Young Journey Central Texas is a 501c3 nonprofit locally supported by and
in partnership with A Glimmer of Hope Austin, The Round Rock Public
Library, A.I.S.D, Austin Film Society, KAZI 88.7 FM, Goin’ Postal Round
Rock, The Round Rock Area Serving Center, Jamsz Konnections, Heather Smith
of Realty Austin and a grant from Silver and Black Give Back. The primary
target population is traditionally underserved youth ages 11 – 18. The
broad intent of the agenda is to leverage arts and sports to transform
youth to live a quality life. The organization provides creative
initiatives that transform youth into excellent leaders through a range of
program activities and events.
